I absolutely loved my stay at Rossio in Alcobaca! The hostel is conveniently located right on the main square, directly across from the beautiful monastery. The view from my bedroom window was breathtaking, and the renovated building was stunning. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. What impressed me the most was the helpful and friendly service from Clare, the owner/manager. She spoke English fluently and went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic stay. I will definitely be returning to Rossio in the future!
Nothing bad to say! 🌟

I recently stayed at Hostel Rossio in Alcobaça for my trip to Portugal. The location was excellent, right across from the beautiful Cistercian monastery. Clara, the owner/manager, was incredibly helpful and could speak and write in English. Our family room even had two rooms with bunk beds, perfect for our needs. Rossio offered a memorable experience in a charming, renovated building, with stunning views and a quiet atmosphere.

Great location with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and shops. Friendly and helpful staff.- Comfortable beds at a good price.- Stunning view of the nearby monastery.- Well-organized check-in process and clean rooms.- Availability of kitchen facilities for making tea and sandwiches.
Early morning noise from traffic, deliveries, street cleaners, and leaf blowers, which may disturb late risers. Absence of an elevator, making it difficult to carry heavy suitcases.

Superb location: right on the main square with a magnificent view of the nearby landmark. Modern and like new facilities: everything was clean, well-maintained, and provided good comfort. Convenient amenities: the well-stocked kitchen made it easy to cook, and the bathrooms had everything we needed.
Noise from neighboring restaurants/fado bar: bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Limited outlets and small rooms: we had trouble charging our devices and the bunk bed room felt cramped.

Felt warm, but nothing to complain about.

The location of this hostel is great, with a view of the nearby monastery and within walking distance of restaurants and a supermarket. the room was clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. the shared bathroom was well-maintained and clean. the hostel owner was friendly and provided helpful recommendations. the WiFi worked well and the price was affordable compared to nearby hotels.
The polished wood floors in the building allowed noise to travel easily, making it possible to hear conversations from neighboring rooms or the reception area.

Rossio Alcobaca is a great place to stay in Alcobaca. the location is perfect, right on a main square with a beautiful monastery that you can see from the terrace while enjoying breakfast. Parking is easy and the rooms, although small, are nice and sufficient for a one-night stay. I recommend having dinner at the nearby restaurant Portas de Fora, where you can enjoy delicious food at a reasonable price. Cons: Nothing to fault. 👍.

We had a great time during our Christmas stay. the hotel was in a perfect location, right in the heart of the town. We loved that it was close to all the main attractions and shops. the staff was also very helpful and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the room we got was larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. it was a great experience.
That the rooms were not very soundproof. We could hear noise from the street and other guests coming and going, which made it difficult to get a good rest at times.
